We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join the Marketing team here at Butlin’s.
This is the ideal role for someone with 1-2 years’ experience in a marketing team, looking to gain more in-depth knowledge and experience in channel planning and execution across the marketing mix.
The ability to commute to Hemel Hempstead will be required as when it is safe to do so we will re-open our offices.
About the role:
Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, we’re looking for a Marketing Executive to support with the planning, execution and reporting of our marketing efforts, in line with the overarching strategies for both the Butlin’s Family and Live Music Weekends brands.
The role involves working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, including:
•External agency partners: Ensuring all media is planned and delivered to schedule, and that all creative is played out correctly and the right messages are always in rotation.
•Digital trading team: Collaborating with our digital channels owners to ensure we’re activating them in a manner that aligns with our overall marketing efforts, and that our reports / dashboards are fit for purpose.
•Product Managers: Ensuring all marketing communications utilise the latest product updates and information.
•Brand Identity Team: Briefing assets for use across the channel mix, ensuring they adhere to brand guidelines and support our proposition.
•Support the Senior Marketing Manager to build and constructively challenge our marketing plans.
•Develop an in depth understanding of our guest segmentation and brand proposition, with the ability to brief and execute campaigns to meet these consumer needs.
•Maintain a commercial mindset to stay informed of our overall business and marketing performance, ensuring our agency partners are regularly updated.
•Build productive relationships with key stakeholders (internal and agencies), to ensure the seamless delivery of campaigns.
•Brief digital assets to activate through the funnel, ensuring content is fit for audience and format.
•Maintain good knowledge of and adapt to changing platform trends.
•Write compelling ad copy to increase engagement across campaigns.
•Strive to innovate, test and trial new opportunities in our marketing mix.
•Assist with delivery of weekly trading meetings (channel performance and market trends), and data collection for monthly marketing mix reporting.
•Develop and maintain an up to date activity tracker, including a testing roadmap for relevant channels.
•Budget management, including preparing costings and producing spend updates through the year.
•Keep up to date with industry news and research figures, news channel opportunities and developments.
We are looking for:
•BA degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or a related discipline.
•1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
•Experience working in a fast-paced marketing team.
•Willingness to travel to our three resorts (including overnight stays).
•A self-starter who can work under their own initiative.
•Understanding of the marketing mix and the role(s) each channel can play.
•Commercially minded, and able to interpret data on marketing performance.
•Exceptional attention to detail is required, alongside good time management and organisation.
•Excellent teamworking skills.
•Confidence in explaining rationale behind ideas.
•Great written and verbal feedback skills.
•Travel and leisure industry experience.
•Google Analytics experience.
•Working with a media agency.
•Understanding of paid social media, paid search and programmatic display.
