Breakfast Chef - Butlin's

As a Breakfast chef you will be part of our main kitchens team, this is a busy operation that serves our Food Court Dining areas to approximately 2000 guests at each mealtime. We are looking for team who are passionate about delivering amazing quality food for our guests.

This position requires you to commence each of your working days at 5am, to ensure our kitchens are prepared for our guests coming into the restaurants for breakfast from 8am onward. This role will require long periods of standing and heavy manual handling duties.

Overall scope of the role:
As part of the Resort guest catering Team, reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you will have direct responsibility for the production of hot and cold breakfast food products to a high standard as agreed with leaders and adhering to company specifications within the kitchen, your duties will also include covering other sections within the kitchen when required and maintaining a high standard of professionalism and presentation on our buffet serving units ensuring full menu availability.

Liaise regularly with Head Chef and Sous Chef to discuss & prioritise any department needs
Prepare, cook and present breakfast and other dishes to agreed specification
To ensure the Resort delivers and exceeds guest expectations through presentation, monitoring temperatures of food, efficient delivery and maintaining high standards
To ensure that all areas deliver to the agreed standards in line with Standard Operating Procedures, Recipes Sheets and Product Specifications
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margin
Ensure Food Safety Documentation is maintained as per Company Food Policy.
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times in the kitchen.
To ensure and be responsible for correct grooming standards within the kitchen.

Have excellent culinary skills/passion for food

Have the ability to deputise in the chef’s absence
Be enthusiastic with a willingness to grow and learn
Have a strong sense of personal loyalty and mutual respect for others
Have an intermediate food hygiene certificate or be willing to complete
Have a cool head and embrace responsibility
An ability to delegate appropriately

There is limited live in accommodation available for 18 year olds and over with this role if relocating to the area.
